Frequently Asked Questions

  • Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialized branch of therapy focused on the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues at and around the pelvis. A pelvic floor physical therapist has to have extra training, certifications, and education for this specialty.  The pelvic floor muscles themselves are rarely the only source of why you are experiencing symptoms. True pelvic health requires looking at the big picture. My sessions involve a comprehensive, full-body assessment to identify how your movement patterns, from your ribcage to your feet, impact your pelvic floor. This holistic perspective ensures we are addressing the root cause of your concerns rather than just the localized discomfort.

  • We are a “fee for service” or “out of network” practice meaning we do not take insurance. I choose not to take insurance so that you, and only you, remain the priority. This freedom allows us to customize every session to your specific needs, ensuring our work is driven by your results rather than insurance company mandates.

Some insurances do have out of network benefits in which case I am able to give you a “superbill” which can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement.

  • Credit/ Debit Cards, Cash, Check. We also take HSA and FSA

  • This completely depends on the person! Most will see improvement within 1-2 sessions with the recommendation of 6-12 sessions. Visits are usually once every 2 weeks and then start to decrease in frequency once there starts to be improvements.
